Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Alta Parking Alerts ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Alta Parking Alerts monitors parking availability at Alta Ski Area and sends notifications when availability changes. The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and does not guarantee parking reservations. See our Service Disclaimer for important limitations.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

The Service offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor (Stripe). You may cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are provided at our discretion for service outages exceeding 6 hours.

5. SMS Notifications

By opting in to SMS alerts, you consent to receive automated text messages about parking availability. Message frequency varies based on your watch settings. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by texting STOP to our notification number.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or abuse free tier benefits
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond normal usage

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Alta Parking Alerts and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ALERTS WILL BE DELIVERED IN TIME TO SECURE A PARKING RESERVATION, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALTA PARKING ALERTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
