Important: Alta Parking Alerts is an independent notification service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Alta Ski Area or any ski resort.

Best-Effort Service

Alta Parking Alerts provides notifications about parking availability on a best-effort basis. We make no guarantees about:

  • Alert Timing: The speed at which you receive alerts after availability changes
  • Availability Accuracy: The accuracy of parking availability information at any given moment
  • Service Uptime: Continuous, uninterrupted operation of the monitoring service
  • Reservation Success: Your ability to secure a parking reservation after receiving an alert

No Guarantee of Parking

Receiving an alert does not guarantee you will be able to purchase a parking reservation. Parking inventory can sell out within minutes, sometimes seconds. Multiple users may receive alerts simultaneously for the same availability. By the time you act on an alert, the parking may no longer be available.

Third-Party Dependency

Our service monitors publicly available information from Alta Ski Area's reservation system. We have no control over:

  • Changes to Alta's website or booking system
  • Alta's parking policies, pricing, or availability
  • Technical issues on Alta's platform
  • Accuracy of information provided by Alta's reservation system

If Alta changes their system in ways that affect our monitoring, service interruptions may occur without notice.

Monitoring Limitations

Our monitoring system checks availability at regular intervals:

  • Free tier: Every 60 minutes
  • Standard tier: Every 15 minutes
  • Pro tier: Every 5 minutes

Availability changes that occur and revert between checks may not trigger alerts. Parking that sells out between checks will not generate an "available" alert.

Service Interruptions

The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Unplanned technical issues
  • Third-party service outages (SMS providers, email services)
  • Network or infrastructure problems
  • Circuit breaker activation due to repeated failures (automatic protection)

We strive to minimize interruptions and will provide credits for outages exceeding 6 hours for paid subscribers, but we do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Acting quickly on alerts if you want to secure a parking reservation
  • Having a backup plan for parking in case alerts don't arrive or parking sells out
  • Verifying availability directly on Alta's official website before making any decisions
  • Ensuring your contact information is accurate and up to date

Not a Substitute for Direct Booking

This service is a convenience tool to help you monitor availability. It is not a substitute for:

  • Regularly checking Alta's official reservation system
  • Booking parking in advance when available
  • Planning alternative transportation options

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Alta Parking Alerts be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Missed alerts or delayed notifications
  • Inaccurate availability information
  • Inability to secure a parking reservation
  • Any costs incurred due to lack of parking (alternative transportation, missed ski days, etc.)
  • Service interruptions or outages
